VOTING PROCESS
The voting body for the first annual Chicago Gospel Music Awards is YOU! The voting process is open to the public. Voting in the various categories will take place only on-line, through the official voting website for the Chicago Gospel Music Awards, our on-line media partner CHICAGOGOSPELLIVE.COM. There are two (2) rounds of voting, and the FIRST round of voting will determine which artists make up the final nominees in a particular category. The second round will determine which artists will receive the Chicago Gospel Music Award for thatspecific category.
VOTING TIMELINE
The date that the FIRST round of voting will begin is Friday, April 11, 2014, and continues through Friday, April 25, 2014, ending at 12:00 midnight. This FIRST round of voting will determine which artists move on to the final ballot, and will qualify as the nominees. There is only one place to cast your vote. You must vote online at CHICAGOGOSPELLIVE.COM. The official final four Nominees will be announced at the Chicago Gospel Music Awards press conference on Friday, May 2, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. and can be viewed via live webcast on the CHICAGOGOSPELLIVE.com website. The date that the SECOND round of voting will begin, is Monday, May 5, 2014, and continues through Sunday, May 25, 2014, ending at 12:00 midnight. This second round of voting will determine which artists will receive the Chicago Gospel Music Awards' for their particular category. The artists who receive the most votes will be announced “LIVE” during the Chicago Gospel Music Awards ceremony at the House of Hope on Friday, June 13, 2014.
** The vote tally at the end of voting on Sunday, May 18, 2014, to determine the artist who will receive the Chicago Gospel Music Award in a particular category is considered FINAL!
